we want to have life and have it abundantly |
there's awesome stuff in every day. let's share! |
I just read Whitney’s missions updates.
Being “senders” it feels so much more involved to be able to hear what the team is doing WHILE they’re doing it!
And plus, I’m getting excited for our own Osaka trip. :)
Morning Seized.
I’ve been doing a lot of reminiscing in these past couple of weeks. I’m seeing all of the things I should’ve changed or the times should have had different reactions to situations. and honestly, I’m kinda perturbed…
but hopefully I’ll be able to use these experiences and these regrets to change how I act in the coming years.
Day Seizedddd.

It’s been too long since I had a date with Jesus. Just me and Him. Had one today. Will have another, tomorrow.

i enjoyed a nice weekend alone with the parentals. we talked about all sorts of fun things, including: why yogurtland is so delicious, how this weekend’s embassy suites was nicer than last week’s in la jolla, what i’m going to do with my life, and why i should hurry up and buy a guitar. :) i also enjoyed some tasty tasty strawberries dipped in creme fraiche, and then dipped in bown sugar. nom nom nom.

Today I came home from church to spend some time with my dad, which I’ve been doing for the past week. Which has been great! So we decided to fix up our bikes and go ride them at the beach. My dad made me ride in the last gear, which made the ride a lot tougher. We ended up riding from Torrance to Manhattan, and I was SO exhausted. I was actually tired after the first mile, but then on the way back and about 2 miles from our car…I had enough. I knew that I was out of shape, but that was just ridiculous! So I jumped off my bike and told my dad that I was quitting. Then! Him being the funny guy that he is…smiled and said “I guess I’ll loosen the brakes on your bike now!” I RODE 10 MILES WITH THE FREAKING BRAKES!!! Sigh* funny dad! REAL funny! Human cruelty should NOT be taken lightly!!! But I suppose that I enjoyed it…-kelly.
I had Souplantation with my parents… and it was really tasty and meaningful. :)

I really enjoyed my spring break this year. I was able to finish off the school week well, so that I could relax and have fun during break. And that is exactly what I did. I spent some time with my family, my tennis friends, (part) of my sg, and some old friends. I’m not quite ready to go back to school again and re-enter the hectic-ness..but I’m definitely grateful for that break and the time to enjoy myself. My mom left for Hong Kong today. She’ll be gone for a month, which is the longest I’ve ever been away from her. And although I fear the loneliness, I know that I can handle it. I just have to trust in God right? Right. Haha. -kelly.
i had a very relaxing day today. lots of guitar playing, sheet music, scales, and jazz chord progressions. lots of tasty food (cupcake, loco moco). and a very fun time with friends. looking forward to seizing tomorrow in a more productive way. :)

This past week was ridiculously stressful and tiring. But I worked really hard and everything worked out really well :D. I’m really happy now, and kind of proud of myself. And now I’m PUMPED for break and everything that I have planned. -kelly.
